This was our first time here and giving it 5 stars isn’t enough! The food was absolutely amazing, their homemade corn tortillas are fantastic! Everything we ordered was great! The service was impeccable and it’s an adorable restaurant. Clean and the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Not only will we for sure be back but we are definitely going to have a party and have them cater it. Thank you for one of our favorite dining experiences ever!!!

No you have to try this restaurante. Its a hidden gem here in waukegan. Nothing else like it, with its ranchero food palet. Its a delicacy, we will be coming here very often. This restaurante is not for the close minded, this will open your palette in so many ways. My father had their short ribs in their salsa verde. He absolutely loved it, enjoying every bite he took. While i had their birria torta, it was so tender and melted in your mouth. It was perfectly balance every bite was mouth watering. To the point i couldn't stop eating. But dont take my word for it come and try this hidden gem.

The service was amazing, the guy was super attentive and friendly. I ordered 2 tacos, 1 asada & the Forastero tako. They were good, but felt like they were missing something. Overall, we enjoyed it.

This fascinating place exhumes feel at home vibes, the art inside is very decorative and beautiful. The lady attending the counter was nothing but sunshine and smiles. The food itself was on par with Moms home cooking, the tortilla for the steak quesadilla was homemade, adding to that, the Al Pastor Torta was PERFECT. That boy was Heavy, it was delicious, and dont forget the salsa

We stopped in after doing a quick search of restaurants in the area. This one looked promising, so we stopped to give it a try. Upon arrival, we found ample parking across the street. Based on the signage, it appeared to be a fairly new restaurant. We headed inside to find a small, homey, sit-in diner type experience. We were seated promptly and taken care of by our friendly waiter. The menu had a wide variety of authentic Mexican food options with reasonable prices. The food was delicious...so much so that my teenage daughter insisted that we leave a review. There you have it, this place is teenager approved! I loved it, as well. It's definitely worth checking out.

We were greeted with a bilingual man who asked us to sit wherever we like. There were plenty of spaces available. We chose our seat and we were served with homemade tortilla chips and bottled salsas which was a little different than expected but both the red and green were tasty and went well with our meals. My wife chose the birria taco meal, and I chose a chorizo gordita and a chicken one. The chorizo one was definitely more flavor filled but they were both made while the chef cooked and sang along with the music playing through the restaurant. It was an excellent meal and a fantastic price. I will certainly come back.

We had lunch today & it was AMAZING! Everything is home made down to the tortillas, tortilla chips, guacamole…EVERYTHING! My family is from San Antonio so I’m a very hard critic! Excellent choice for authentic Mexican food! The owner was also incredibly friendly, kind & accommodating! Thank you for a wonderful meal!!!
